New Workshop
It was great to see over 20 Headteachers, SENCO and senior staff from 12 schools at our most recent Mental Health Network event.
The first of a 3-part training series, this interactive workshop was delivered by Dr Lisa Shostak, Clinical Child Psychologist and Senior Tutor at Kings College. It focused on Adverse Childhood Experiences and what the evidence suggests about appropriate support and interventions.
The 3-part series has been developed and designed with parents, teachers and young people with lived experience and will focus not only on theory, but also on the real world elements of practice – including discussion, sharing of current good practice and planning around practical application of the learning.
It was a brilliant couple of hours. I am genuinely in awe of what a supportive, engaged and passionate network you have created!
