Volunteer Training & Supervision
Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart.
At Sunbeams, we see the tremendous value of our volunteers – girls and young women age 18- 25 who give selflessly each week to support vulnerable girls in the community.
In fact, volunteering is the heart of what we do and that is why we take it so seriously. All Sunbeams volunteers receive high level training, ongoing clinical and non-clinical supervision which gives them the opportunity to develop, reflect and improve on transferable life and work skills such as commitment, communication, compassion, work ethic, confidentiality and time management.
Volunteering at Sunbeams provides a highly professional ‘work experience’ in the areas of mentoring, youth engagement and wellbeing and we support our volunteers to complete further education and accredited courses such as AQA Open Awards Units.
