Mina Davidowitz,Trustee
Mina is a Charity Development Officer at The Interlink Foundation, and brings over 18 years of experience and skill in the voluntary sector, along with the insight of a mum with lived experience. With her wise advice and down-to-earth nature, she helps Sunbeams, and many other local charities, strengthen their governance, financial management and fundraising.
Rivky Reich, Trustee
Mrs. Rivky Reich has served as a headteacher in a local girls’ school for over 25 years, bringing warmth, dedication and an unwavering belief in every child. She is known for going above and beyond her role to ensure that each girl is thriving and the family behind her is being supported. Her holistic, compassionate approach shapes the way Sunbeams supports every user.
Jessica Zweibel, Trustee
Jessica is Sunbeam’s Safeguarding expert. Being a headteacher and safeguarding lead in school, we rely on her wisdom and experience to ensure every girl we support is safe and understood. As a community activist, Jessica is deeply involved in local youth initiatives and has always got her finger on the pulse on emerging needs and issues of girls and young women.
Chavi Moskowitz. Trustee
Chavi Moskowitz is a licensed practicing psychotherapist working with OJ girls for over 10 years. Through her professional clinical skill, warmth and sensitivity to her work, Chavi closely guides our team and mentors.
Ruchi Ostreicher -CEO
Ruchi is the face of Sunbeams. She is one of the dedicated founders of Sunbeams who pioneered from its humble start of a laptop in an attic - to the award-winning charity it is today. With multiple qualifications in youth work and project management, Ruchi directs Sunbeam’s services, manages our dedicated team and communicates with families, school and community partners. She is known for her patience, deep listening, compassion and non-judgemental approach. Her intuition, warmth and 13+ years of experience have been instrumental in shaping Sunbeams into the go-to place for girls’ mental health and wellbeing.
Yenti Friedman – Finance, Fundraising & Development Officer
Yenti is the co-founder of Sunbeams and plays a key role in shaping the organisation’s vision and growth. She manages the charities’ finances, fundraising, and governance. She is a qualified AAT Technician with 14 years of experience in accounting and fundraising in the charity sector. Energetic, passionate and forward-thinking, Yenti is always innovating, developing new projects, strengthening systems and pushing Sunbeams to reach higher standards. Her commitment has been key to securing funding, achieving quality marks, and ensuring the organisation can grow sustainably while staying true to its values. Her insight, dedication and steady leadership are central to Sunbeams’ success and sustainability.
Hindy Weiss – Sunbeams Volunteer Coordinator
Hindy was a dedicated teacher for many years but she wanted to do more. She found her calling at Sunbeams and started off as our efficient administrator. It didn’t take long to realise that Hindy was a perfect fit to be our volunteer coordinator for Sunbeams. From volunteer recruitment, training and supervision; Hindy ensures mentors and mentees are supported and thriving.
Chani Herzog – Sunrays Volunteer Coordinator
Chani has 10 years of experience as an adolescent form teacher, is a qualified school counselor and has been with Sunbeams since inception. She is extremely caring and compassionate and dedicated. Chani successfully manages hundreds of mentees and mentors without losing sight of every girl’s personal needs.
Miriam Fogel – Head of Group mentoring and Key-worker program
Efficient, determined and professional, Miriam proficiently manages our group mentoring and key-worker program. She carries past experience of managing school programmes and extracurricular activities and is always attentive to the needs of our mentees, ensuring each session is an opportunity for growth and development.
Esti Brahams – Youth Network facilitator and 1:1 and group mentoring supervisor
Esti is a highly sought-after individual with a winning personality and unparalleled validation – that makes everyone around her feel valued and respected. She has a BSc in psychology and an MA in Art Therapy and is a qualified Drawing and Talking instructor. She is extremely talented and dedicated to her work, and our users benefit tremendously from her experience and skill in youth work. She has worked in a huge scope of community settings-from helping girls in hospitals to community groups for young adults and we are super grateful to have her on board.
Dr Lisa Shostak – Clinical Lead
Dr Lisa Shostak is a clinical child psychologist, a senior lecturer at King’s College London, sits on the committee for children and families in the BPS and was involved in national policy development. We credited our achievements to Dr Lisa who complements our passion with professional guidance. She advises on the design and delivery of all our projects. She delivers quarterly professional training for our mentors, provides biannual supervision sessions to 1:1 mentors and monthly supervision sessions to group mentors. At these sessions mentors discuss the challenges their mentees are facing and receive guidance on how to help them move past these. She also delivers trainings/workshops in schools to key staff as part of our Mental Health Network.
Suri Lamm – Administration/Secretary
Young, passionate and ever-similing, Suri fills our place with positive vibes and seamlessly ensures that everything runs smoothly - even after office hours when our sessions take place.
