Sunbeams Awarded the London Youth Bronze Quality Mark
We are delighted to share that Sunbeams has officially been awarded the London Youth Bronze Quality Mark, a nationally recognised standard for high-quality youth provision. This award reflects the strength of our policies, safeguarding practice, governance and the systems that underpin our work with girls, young women and families across Stamford Hill.
In her assessment feedback, London Youth’s Assessment Officer highlighted the care, professionalism and depth of evidence that went into our submission. She wrote:
“Sunbeams UK has done an incredible job bringing their values to life through the London Youth Bronze Quality Mark. It is clear the team has put in a huge amount of care and effort to gather strong, meaningful evidence that reflects the work they do every day. Their commitment to empowering girls and young women through mentoring, wellbeing support and lived-experience leadership really shines through.”
She also recognised the attention to detail shown across our policies and practice, noting that our approach to safeguarding, inclusion and positive youth development shows “how seriously [we] take creating a safe and supportive environment.”
The assessment team described the process of collecting and presenting evidence as “no small task” and emphasised that the Sunbeams team should be “really proud” of what has been achieved. They added:
“Sunbeams’ passion and professionalism are clear in everything they do, and completing the Bronze Quality Mark is a fantastic recognition of their dedication and impact.”
Achieving the Bronze Quality Mark is an important milestone for our organisation. It reflects not only the standards we hold ourselves to, but also our commitment to delivering safe, effective and culturally attuned support for the girls and young women who rely on us.
We are proud of this achievement and grateful to London Youth for their guidance throughout the process. The Quality Mark will continue to strengthen our foundations as we grow our services and deepen our impact in the year ahead.
